Hi! Do you like to eat? I like to cook! I love dogs, am a vegetarian, love writing and reading, and I love living in the wooded countryside. Being health conscious is very important to me. Got only one life on Fortuna's Wheel, so to speak, so I want to make it a long and healthy one. I have two baccalaureate degrees , one in the arts, the other in a science field. I live the somewhat secluded life of a writer. Don't get me wrong, I play well with others and I do not run with scissors (I socialize well and am friendly and outgoing despite being an introvert). I love to think. Some of my "heroes" are Dawkins, Dennett, Shermer, Hawking, DeGrasse, Hitchens, Sam Harris, James Randi, and Victor J. Stenger. Oddly, the author whose work has moved me the most is that of Stenger. "God: The Failed Hypothesis" isn't written in flowery, Latinate language; however, he explains aspects of physics in a way that I can understand. I literally shed tears because of the knowledge he conveyed to me through that book. You'd think most people would only cry over a physics exam! I'll upload a photo in a little while, but I'd prefer to comb my hair and change out of my P.J.s first. I am also a fan of The Atheist Experience. I love to learn. I enjoy almost any type of music, but it's not a focal point of my life. My tastes in literature vary widely, as there are terrific authors in any genre. I don't drink, smoke, or engage in any unlawful activities. I do not engage in violence of any sort, and I am an advocate of responsible firearms ownership. I love intelligence and conversation. I'm not crazy about loud, crowded events. I can dig bowling, tennis, camping, hiking (I have hiked rice terraces in Indonesia and crossed the equator on foot), and whitewater rafting (as long as there's a guide). I've played in bands and I've been a singer and an actor in the theatre. I knit and crochet a bit too. I have a wry sense of humor, and I enjoy the life I have. I'm not interested in "living together." You've got your space, I've got my place. Not looking for marriage. I'm comfy with myself. Instead of neediness, I bring emotional stability and confidence to the table.
I revel in being an atheist, for I am unshackled and no longer a captive to the darkness of ignorance. I am free.

Off-leash walks in the country with my Pekingese (go ahead and laugh), walks at the gorgeous waterfowl pond at the local park, creating new recipes, cooking for other people, intellectually stimulating conversation from which I learn new things, and creating in various media.
