I conscientiously amble through life, frequently with sand between my toes, with an intention (!) to be attentive to the moment and respond with an attitude of compassion to all I experience. Have travelled; geographically, philosophically and experientially, am content yet not satisfied. Tender-hearted but tough-minded, competent yet always learning. I enjoy logic and lazy reductionist thinking and communication (e.g. gender generalities, clichés) will have me (metaphorically) rolling my eyes and possibly (actually) backing politely out the door. I find life tragic and wonderful, appreciating its absurdity and delights whilst juggling well-managed addictions to the ocean and the pleasures of lying on the couch, on the deck, reading. I live 70ish mins south of Sydney surrounded by simple domestic beauty and the glorious landscape of the escarpment and the ever-changing sea, and study in the Syd CBD....and, there is often a beloved scruffy dog named Florence hanging around my ankles. She smells good. And whilst I may well be set up with my own pea-green boat and can indeed track down quinces for myself (but one never find these in dustbins)...I do so wish to find a very dear Owl to 'go all to sea' with |
