| I Would Describe Myself As | I’m sarcastic and have a dry (or dark, depending on who’s telling the story) sense of humor, but like to think it hides a heart of gold. In third grade, I had to look up what “cynical” meant to understand my report card. Maybe I was an old soul at age 8. 😉 Im a reader and I used to be a writer, though eventually I want to get back into it. I will happily binge-watch my share of Netflix shows (points if said shows have zombies), but I’m just as content reading. I never thought I’d give up paper books, but here it is, 2021, and I’m reading on my phone on the treadmill. Life changes. I have a bucket list of classics but mostly read sci fi. I have a soft spot for anything historical. I’ve lived in Oregon almost my whole life and have tried several times to get away.... but always end up back in the PNW. I work at UO but constantly overcommit myself to volunteer stuff. I work on a lot of political campaigns and love it for reasons that are still mysterious to myself. I've moved a long way toward the center since my 20s and am trying to navigate being far more moderate than the party I've chosen. It's tricky. I like being busy, but I’m trying to not let busy turn into crazy during campaign season. I like baking but not eating, so I am that person pushing a plate of cookies at every meeting. Interested?
