I'd rather do anything else but advertise or promote myself, so I'll just stick to some facts. Never married, never had kids, and at the age of 45 I am realistic enough not to be naive about issues like friendship and love anymore. I didn't plan to visit this "Atheist Personals" page either - I only noticed the link and became curious.

I spent most of my life exploring this wonderful planet, and forgive the cliché, I do not regret a single minute of it. Yes, I made bad decisions too, but any learning curve need those bad calls. In recent years I felt the compulsion to explore new horizons - even if it means a new 'static' lifestyle. I'm presently studying and tutoring in languages (Afrikaans & English) at the University of Pretoria - and enjoying this latest venture as well.

Over the years I've met women to whom I felt deeply attracted to, and managed to be involved in some fulfilling, if shortlived, relationships. My travelling urges didn't make things any easier, but a bigger problem as usually the fact that I am an atheist (and proudly so). Being able to meet likeminded partners is not easy in the more traditional setting of Pretoria either. So, while I'm now entering my personal details into this networking page, I do not harbour unrealistic hopes, yet I am open to the possibility of an enduring friendship, or companionship resulting from this.

Finally, and in general, I'm not nearly as serious as the above paragraphs seem to indicate!
