I am hoping to meet a woman 50-75 years old who is attractive, reasonably to unreasonably slim, who is good-natured and possessed of a sense of humor. Race and height, color of hair, eyes?...I'm open to all.
Because of my history, I think an interest in the pop music culture of the 50's, 60's, 70's and onward would help our compatibility.
I am retired (age 71) from a life that has included owning a couple of vintage guitar stores, a night club, building and repairing hundreds of houses, and counseling over two thousand men charged with domestic violence.
Nowadays I spend my time writing songs, playing piano and guitar, and studying ancient history.
I have played in bands and as a solo performer since I was 14 years old.
I'm not wealthy but I get by. I own interests in an apartment in Somerville, ma. and a sweet cottage on a lake in Groton, Ma. I've lived in Somerville since the pandemic began.

I've never married but I have had long term relationships with some lovely women including my current business and sometime music partner. It's platonic.
I don't drink but I don't mind if you do, within reason. I do smoke a little pot (very little) here and there.
I am partially blind so unfortunately I can't drive. My eyes are blue and appear 'normal.'
My food preferences are all over the place but healthy eating is a general priority. I'll try (and have tried) just about anything but I love sushi, Thai, Indian, Korean, Italian, etc.
I am half Scottish, half Italian.
I have an 'adopted' son who is an actor in L.A. His two children are as grand children to me.
I have travelled to Cairo, Rome, Istanbul, Athens, and London among others.
As for romance-I am by nature a romantic who loves to slow dance and watch movies and old TV series that I missed cause I was working so much. The Saint, Columbo, Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes, Rockford Files are a few favorites.
For laughs I sometimes watch Mystery Science Theater. I enjoy serious theater and movies and have seen most of the 'big' ones.
Sex? I'm in if you're in but I can go the holding hands companionship route also.
I dropped out of university after three years on a full scholarship to play in rock bands. I've never regretted it.
Family? I have two brothers and a sister but we were separated at a young age due to the passing of my mom when I was 11. My dad couldn't handle what had happened and I was brought up by various aunts and uncles.
I was an avid reader from age 5 and read The Bible cover to cover when I was 12...and found it to be as ludicrous as I do now. I went on to read ALL of the works of the major philosophers and world religions in a quest to figure things out. Which I did...at least to the degree that one can. The whole notion of 'gods' seems fearful, childish, and largely destructive to me. So, I'm just another atheist for peace, love, and understanding. I'm okay if you are agnostic.
My appearance: I'm 6'1" tall. good posture, 250 lbs. (I was scouted by pro baseball and football as kid but The Beatles came and saved me). I walk with a cane sometimes due to the residual effects of being hit in a parked car 20 years ago. Overall all I present well according to my charitable friends.
Sorry to rattle on about myself but I wanted to convey some of the particulars that might matter to you.
The very first paragraph of this profile really does describe the partner/companion that I would like to meet. I have had a fondness for all personality types over the years so let's have some laughs and share some of the finer points of meaningful life together. Wendell
