I am currently living in Florida as a caregiver for my aging Mother. How long I will be needed here is unknown at present, but I also believe that should that special lady I'm looking for and I find each other we would be able to work things out in order for us to eventually be together - forever.

Before ending up in Ocala, FL in July '07 I lived in Kensington, Maryland (where I grew up), San Diego, CA., Spokane, WA., Norfolk & Virginia Beach, VA., Jacksonville, FL., Charleston, S.C., and in Iceland (twice). I've been single for many, many years, and was a single Dad from '93-'05 raising my youngest (son) who is on his own and doing well. I also have two grown daughters and 1 adult step-son - all who have blessed me with 12 awesome grandkids (10 girls, 2 boys), who all live in Spokane, WA. I'm the middle son of three raised by loving parents to be a gentleman, and I feel I am. I love most all outdoor activities (except hunting). While serving on active duty in the Navy for 21 years (73-94) I visited over 25 different countries and would love to go back to most of them, as well as visit some I've never seen - join me? I retired from the USN as a Chief Petty Officer with full benefits, and then had a 2nd full-time career that I truly enjoyed. I am now retired. I'm stable, happy, outgoing, humorous, monogamous, romantic, and fun-loving. I love taking spontaneous roadtrips to destinations unknown along back-country roads to see sights yet unseen and marvel at Mother Nature's beauty. I feel it's the journey that counts, not the destination. I love Oldies (50's-70's) Rock 'n Roll and also enjoy most other types of music, although I can do without Rap or Opera. I am not into Nascar, C/W music, nor organized religion.


I'm seeking a lady who is active, outgoing, fit, fun, romantic, humorous, feminine, affectionate, monogamous, and who likes herself. She, too, has learned from life's lessons and is a better person for it. She will value our time together as well as with family and friends but will - as I do - sometimes want/need her alone time, too. She will believe as I do that a truly loving, fun, and successful monogamous forever relationship starts with becoming friends first and then builds from there based on honesty, trust, and open communication. She will know that agreeing-to-disagree is far better than trying to change the other. She, too, will believe that our relationship is a equal partnership in all we do, sharing and caring equally. She'll love nature, animals, travel, or just kickin' back together snugglin' in front of a warm fire with a glass of wine, shared giggles, with great music playing in the background.
