I'm a professional classical musician, well educated and intelligent. I enjoy most things scientific, particularly astronomy, geology and medicine and I am deeply interested in history, law, and the furthering of human knowledge. I also regularly take in the theatre, art galleries, exhibitions, go traveling to all sorts of places old and new, and enjoy gardening. I am active and like to go places, certainly not the stay at home all the time type. Life is for living so I get out there and live it.



My other interests are good conversation with friends and my sense of humour is spontaneous, essential dry wit, and is slightly off the wall with a good dose of observational sarcasm thrown in, for when it is needed of course. I read Private Eye, various science magazines on occasions, listen to things like "I'm sorry I haven't a clue", and keep up with the news once a day. I am kind, tolerant and considerate, will make time for those close to me and I value honesty and trust above all else.



I listen to radio 3 and 4 and the world service.



I have no time for the following: football, excessive beer drinking, noisy pubs and clubs, popular culture, anything to do with celebs, pop music, tabloid newspapers, and spending hours in front of a television screen. I hate ignorance and prejudice in all their forms and will actively avoid anyone or anywhere that might subject me to such things.



I have no time whatever for religion or any other superstitious rubbish.

To enjoy life in the country I will move to later this year, which is Portugal. To do different things other than work all day, every day. If you want to do something really different in your life the opportunity is there now.

Going out somewhere new if possible and exploring, sight-seeing and generally getting away from work and not talking about it. I love art galleries and museums, the countryside where it is possible to wander and take your time, talk about whatever and relax without having to look at your watch.
