I was born in the Bronx so I guess that makes me a born Yankee. I work in IT and spend a lot of time in front of the computer so I like to get out and do something physically active when I can. Excercise usually consists of walking and mild jogging but I used to bicycle up to 60 miles a day on a regular basis (I've got several centuries under my belt). I haven't ridden much since moving to the area and would love to meet someone who'd nudge be back into the saddle.I love used bookstores and love to read. My library includes fiction and non-fiction. Lots of technical books, a good assortment of biographies, lots of science and science fiction, 'classical' literature and a fair assortment of titles I've always meant to read but haven't gotten to yet. I don't watch much TV but I love watching movies either at the theater or from my DVD collection. Music is important to me. Jazz and classical are my favorites but I love all kinds of music. My CD collection is very eclectic and my listening tastes are very broad.I love anything scientific and follow developments in biology, physics, astronomy and technology with great interest. I enjoy stimulating conversations and friends say I've got a dry sense of humor and a quick wit.I have a fine art degree and and have had my paintings displayed many times over the years. I'm also an avid photographer who has been been practicing his craft for over 40 years. I typicaly have my Nikon with me when I leave the house and tend to see the world as one big potential photograph.
