I've been an atheist since around 14 or so but have not appreciated what that meant in my life until recently. There was an event in my life back in 2010 that brought a great deal about about myself in focus for me and has matured me greatly. Since then I've made several changes to get my life how I want it to be including living my life in line with my atheist principles. I've also started working on getting into a movie editing career that I've wanted since graduating college.

For fun I love watching all kinds of movies either out in theaters or at home. I love gaming, especially video games, I play EVE Online and have an Xbox 360. I also love nature and going out for bike rides and camping trips. I always feel at peace when witnessing and experiencing the forces of nature: wind, rain, snow, sunrises and setts, the beauty and grandeur of nature is amazing to me and I love experiencing it.

Another part of my awakening in the past few years is politics. Seeing the behavior of Republians lately worries me greatly. I'm a very compasionate person, so women's rights, the plight of the poor, and I agree with Obama that keeping the middle class strong keeps our economy strong, this is all of great concern to me and while the Democrats are not perfect, they are the major party who's agenda most closely alignes with my principles, including freedom of religion which includes freedom FROM religion.

As for my goals and expectations I'm very open minded for the time being. I'm not looking to get married at the moment but that dossen't mean I just want "friends with bennifits". Like my headline says I'm looking for compaionship so that's where I want to start, where it goes from there we will see.

I do want to say regarding kids, I am not ready to be a father yet but if and when I am I would prefer to adopt a child. As I said above I love nature and want to preserve it for the future of humanity, and a powerful way to do that is to not add to the population. So I would prefer to avoid becoming pregnant and if I were to raise children I want to raise children who are already here but not by me and my partner.
