No damsel in distress here, but in search of someone who is nevertheless a white knight with an edge. Someone who is worldly and nerdy. Someone who is ok with the fact that I really don't like to constantly talk about "feelings." Someone who appreciates my abilities of listening, patience, laughing easily, and cooking/baking.

I am kind of old-fashioned, and while I may not initially appear to be so, I'm just as sappy as any other female (an equal number of small and grand romantic gestures, please).

My relationship philosophy is definitely not 2 halves equal a whole. Who wants to be a half? Instead, I believe that 1 plus 1 equals 2, meaning each of us is a complete individual to begin with who becomes stronger as we share and grow together. I believe the key components to an enduring relationship are represented by the Irish Claddagh: Friendship, Loyalty, and Love.

I don't ask for much. Just someone who will make me laugh (laughing is the best!), travel the world with me, warm up my perpetually cold hands, hold me when the world falls apart, and share my love for music, movies, art, and food. Not much at all. ;-)

Bonus if you are open to watching the NFL (love my Ravens!), to playing no rules racquetball, & to not minding if I watch you play card tournament or video games for hours.

FYI In Maryland they grow us with a cynical streak, so taking time to build trust is important to me. Please don't ask for honesty & then misrepresent yourself. I am upfront & seeking long-term.
